We arrived at Chena Marina RV Park where sea planes land and take off most of the day. This photo was taken at 10:30 PM.






We had a beautiful day for visiting the botanical gardens

Klondike Mike is a colorful character. He was telling stories about he and his dog living in a tent. They leave for the back country in early fall and spend the winters there.


















We put on our coats and visited the Ice Hotel. The original one melted a few years ago, so this new one stays cold always

Not far from Fairbanks is the little town of Ester.

Before the slapstick comedy performance at the Malemute Saloon we watched a Northern Lights photo show.














Also near Fairbanks to visit the pipeline

August 11......our day to leave Alaska.....but,
No trip to Alaska is complete without a trip to the North Pole. It is actually located just south of Fairbanks.

We stopped at the Santa Clause House which is full of Christmas items,






And of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus


We drove 356 miles today. We were going to stop in Tok, but arrived around 1:00PM. There was a lot of muddy construction.
